Permanent Hair Removal

By | May 25, 2010 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

Millions of Americans are troubled with excess hair and actively seek out a method of permanent hair removal. The hair removal industry is huge with millions of dollars being spent on a wide variety of hair removal techniques.

There are a number of reasons why people desire permanent hair removal. These range from the nuisance of having to remove hair on a daily basis to the physical discomfort that excess hair can cause in the form of problems such as ingrown hairs to the mental anguish of having hair where it is not wanted. A mustache on a woman can be very difficult to handle emotionally.

Currently however there is no method of permanent hair removal with the exception of the slow and tedious procedure called electrolysis. Electrolysis is a method of inserting a needle into the follicle of the hair and killing it. If you can imagine doing this procedure on one hair at a time you get a feel for how laborious, time consuming and expensive this could potentially be on a large area. Electrolysis is more suitable for some areas such as the eyebrows, upper lip or chin hairs.

If you are looking for hair removal that is forever, you will have to wait till the future for new research to develop permanent hair removal methods. Meantime you are best off to manage the hair you want gone with other techniques.

There are a number of other methods used to eliminate unwanted hair. These include; waxing, shaving, tweezing, depilatories, epilation, threading, sugaring, lasers, and more. The method you choose will depend on your skin sensitivity, size of area to be treated, skin coloration, type of hair and other factors. What you can afford will also play a large role in the selection process. While you can pick up the Number one rated depilatory Dermology for a very affordable rate and enjoy softer, smoother, hair less skin, a series of laser treatments will set you back hundreds of dollars.

Whatever method you use, be sure to do your research. If you are choosing laser surgery, select a qualified laser center. If you opt to use a lotion, test it on a small area first. Though excess hair can be a pain, there is no need to complicate the issue by not checking out the hair removal method you choose, which could result in skin issues.

Hopefully permanent hair removal is on the horizon but for now careful selection of the best technique for your skin is the best method to remove unwanted hair.
