When I was taking phentermine 37.5, I did experience some side effects. Fortunately, the phentermine 37.5 side effects I experienced were fairly minor, but still slightly unpleasant. Please keep in mind that if you are or are considering taking phentermine 37.5, you will not necessarily experience these side effects. You may experience different side effects, which may be serious. See your doctor immediately if phentermine 37.5 causes you to experience serious side effects and discontinue use of the medication.

Excessive Thirst

I was excessively thirsty while taking phentermine 37.5. It was one of the first phentermine 37.5 side effects I ever noticed, in addition to suppressed appetite and increased energy levels. I had to have something to drink all the time because my mouth always felt so dry. This wasn't so bad because it made me drink more water, which I know is good for you when you are trying to lose weight.

When I got mad while I was taking phentermine, I didn't just get mad, I got furious. Things that would only slightly bother me before suddenly made me hit the roof. On the flip side, when I was happy, I was really happy. Euphoric, even. This was one of the most unpleasant phentermine 37.5 side effects I experienced because I am normally a calm, laid back type of person and I like for my mood to be stable at all times. This side effect not only affected me, it affected those around me. I occasionally got angry at my husband when he didn't quite deserve it. This side effect would be enough for me to have to seriously reconsider ever taking phentermine again, even though I did lose a lot of weight.

Another of the unpleasant phentermine 37.5 side effects I experienced was acne, particularly on the back. I know this doesn't happen to everyone, but I also know it was directly related to the phentermine because it cleared up as soon as I went off the medication.

I constantly felt the need to scratch my head while I was on phentermine. I seemed to have lots of nervous energy in my fingers, and this was usually how I used it. It was one of the most annoying phentermine 37.5 side effects because I hated scratching at my head, but felt I had to. I would catch myself doing it all the time when I didn't even realize I was doing it. Thankfully, I no longer do that now that I am no longer on phentermine.

I am not recommending phentermine nor am I advising a person not to take it. This is simply a list of the side effects I experienced while taking phentermine 37.5 mg. A person who is thinking about taking this drug for weight loss should speak with her doctor first to make sure it's appropriate for her.
