New Potato And Philly Cream Cheese Mashed Potatoes

Your grandma's regular old mashed potatoes just don't cut it these days. They are simple and don't tantalize your taste buds like mashed potatoes could. This recipe combines Philadelphia Cream Cheese with new potatoes to make a mash potatoes platter that will go hand in hand with a designer stuffing with your Thanksgiving turkey dinner.

Things You Will Need

  • 1 1/2 lbs peeled new potatoes, cut into chunks
  • 1/3 cup Philadelphia Cream Cheese spread (chive and onion light flavor)

Step 1 Cook the potatoes in boiling water for 20 minutes or until you can stick a fork through them easily.
Step 2 Drain the potatoes and place the dry potatoes in a saucepan
Step 3 Add your Chive and Onion Flavored cream cheese and mash with a potato masher or a mixer until nice and fluffy!

Wow, I've not tried cream cheese in my mash potatoes. Sounds good, will give it a try. I mostly use sour cream and fresh herbs from the garden. Thanks for a new tip to try.
