Playing Lotto with a group - You gotta be in it - to win it

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

Those of you who have the chance to play the lottery may be doing this with a group of people vs. alone (the more the better chances right)?

So I have put together a few tips on how to do this and in the end everyone is clear.

Let's say everyone will be chipping in $5.00.

You start an envelope and as people give you money you put the cash in there and list their names on the envelope. Now this is the time people will say can you lay it out for me, I can't get there to give it to you blah blah blah It is your choice to decide if you want to lay the cash out or not, remember if you win you can get the money back, if you loose you may have to hunt them down.

When the time comes - Go purchase tickets:

Number the tickets (in case you have a bunch of them this way they are in some sort of order and easy to find in the future WHEN YOU WIN, then make copies of all the tickets so that you can hand out the numbers (or scan and email) to all involved and everyone knows the numbers before hand.

The tickets should be placed safe place where more then 1 person know where they are just in case.

Whether you are emailing or making copies put a note with the numbers with the following information:

The numbers are in a safe place and list who know where,

List all of the people involved on the note so everyone is aware,

Make a statement that everyone will get an equal share,

List any caveats (we had someone put in double money so they count as 2 people) also list anyone owing money and to whom so it is known they owe BUT they are in the pool and will receive equal share.

That's about it - Sit back and wait for the results - GOOD LUCK
