Decorating Your Kid's Bedroom With Pokemon!
So your kid's wild about Pokemon? Then what about a great Pokemon bedroom? Not sure where you should start? Then enough questions! Try out some of these great Pokemon room décor ideas...
Wall Paintings
For instance, the main device in Pokemon is called a Pokeball (that a Pokemon master uses to capture wild pokemon & release them to battle), and it's a simple red, black and white ball. You can easily simulate this by painting a thick black stripe about midway up the bedroom wall, and then painting the top half of the wall red and the bottom half white. Your kid will think that he's sleeping inside a PokeBall! If you think yourself as more of the artistic type -- you could go straight ahead and try painting your kid's favourite pokemon, there are thousands of images online you can copy from (you can even get a professional painter to come round & be pretty cheeky and take the credit yourself).
Pokemon Posters
Posters are always popular with kids. Order your Pokemon posters online, and simply decorate the bedroom walls with them. You might want to think about getting the posters framed to prevent damage to them when they're hung.

Decals
Decals are basically plastic stickers that stick on to painted walls & other various objects like computers etc. There are plenty of Pokemon decals available online, and they're quick and easily to apply to walls. They're also easily removable, which is good given how quickly kids change their tastes.
Bedding & Blankets
Obviously the bed is the most important part of a bedroom, so make sure that you don't forget to buy a great Pokemon duvet cover and pillowcase set so your child will be sleeping in style.

Curtains
If you hang curtains rather than having blinds, there are several Pokemon design curtain sets to
choose from on the market. And even if you do have blinds, you might want to consider hanging curtains anyway, since they'll complete the look of the bedroom.
Stickers
Pokemon stickers are some of the hottest branded merchandise around, and you can easily use them to decorate a child's bedroom. Stick stickers onto laminate for best effect, on bedroom furniture, for example. You can remove stickers from laminate with soap and water or with baby oil should you need them gone at some point.
Cards
Another hot Pokemon item is trading cards. There are thousands of Pokemon trading cards, and many ways that you can use them to decorate. Cards can be pinned to a cork notice board, for example. Or you can create a collage from them and frame it. If you have older bedroom furniture, think about covering desk tops with cards, and then sealing it with sticky back plastic. Your old furniture will get a new lease of life, and your child will be thrilled with his Pokedesk!

Toys
Again, there are plenty of plush Pokemon toys on the market -- especially if you check online. Consider putting up a special bookshelf to display these toys to best effect and make an exhibition out of them.
Comics
There are lots of Pokemon comics available online, and these make excellent decorating
accessories. Comics can be easily displayed on desk tops and bookshelves, but they can also be framed to create wall hangings. You can even get your child's help to cut out frames from the comics to make a Pokemon collage to hang on a wall.
Pokemon Figurines
Plastic figurines are big sellers on the Pokemon market, and they make nice display items. It's easy to arrange figurines on bookshelves, but if your child is a big collector think about getting a special plastic display case for his precious items, just like in a museum.

Hangings & Mobiles
The ceiling is part of the room that's often neglected when you're decorating, but it's easy to make it a point of interest. Simply cover some Pokemon cards with transparent sticky back plastic, and then string them together to make hanging garlands. Or you can hang covered cards from light fixtures, or even use wire coat hangers to form a mobile frame and hang cards from that.
Floors
Surprisingly, a Pokemon carpet pattern isn't actually available. But there are Pokemon bedside rugs available to buy. Or you could again stick to the simple red, white and black Pokeball theme for appropiate floor coverings.
Cushions
The best idea for cushions is to make your own cushion covers. This is a simple sewing job, and combining a black strip of material with red on one side and white on the other will mean that you have a Pokeball cushion cover in no time. Use these as throw pillows for the bed. Or you could just buy a quality cushion...

Shelving
Finally, don't forget to add some nice accessible shelves to your child's room so that he can have somewhere to put all of his Pokemon DVDs and video games. Even these items can form part of a room's décor as long as there's shelving on which to display them.
