Positive Quotes For The Month of March

By Edited Sep 9, 2015 1 1

It was Helen Keller that noted "Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.", and I agree with her but also life can be boring and uninspiring sometimes especially when we are face with difficulties that seem beyond our control. If there is anything I have learnt about life and problems is that no problem is peculiar, no one single person has a "special problem" there is always someone out there faced with similar situation and someone who in spite of the odd has gone ahead to overcome it. Quotes are like the thoughts of great achievers in a short word or sentence. They serve not only to motivate and educate us but also to inform us of the possibilities that are available to us if only we will put our mind to work and keep up a positive attitude towards life and life's problems.

Every month starting from today, I shall be publishing a collection of inspiring quotes with  my thoughts on what the quotes means to me and how one can apply it to his or her daily life. I hope you find it inspiring and educating and if you need further Quotes please check our previous publication. Famous Quotes and  Top Ten Quotes

I'd look at one of my stonecutters hammering away at the rock, perhaps a hundred times without as much as a crack showing in it. Yet, at the hundred and first blow it would split in two, and I knew it was not that blow that did it, but all that had gone before.” – Jacob August Riis

Often times we hear of a music group, an author, a tech entrepreneur, an unknown singer that became an instant fame. We are often tempted to believe that they just woke up and fame shone on them but that's usually not the case. Most, if not all the over night success people are individuals who spent many hours, days, and years behind the scene learning, practicing and perfecting their skills. They endured months and years of setbacks and disappointments, putting in little efforts after the other until one day success shines on them.

Most times our little effort may not show or appreciated by others but if we continue to do our best daily, in no time success will show up. So keep putting in your best everyday and remember that "Before you achieve anything worthwhile, you have to put in many, many, many tiny efforts that nobody sees or appreciates."

"Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength."

Success is never without difficulties, as a matter of fact the world is design in such a way that in order to attain your goals you must pass through a series of test. This test are meant not to discourage us but to find out how important our goals are to us. Sometimes, these test can be so overwhelming and frequent that we are temptedto quit and for some people having put in their best, it will be understandable if they quit. However no one gets the crown for giving up, the crown belongs to those who see the race to the end. Seeing everything you have started to the end, that's true strength.

"I fall, I rise.
I make mistakes, I live.
I've been hurt but I'm alive.
I'm human, I'm NOT perfect but I'm thankful.
For Through them,
I've LEARN to appreciate
LIFE every moment."

One cannot go through life without mistakes. Someone once said, "If you haven't made a mistake lately, it means you haven't tried something new" You cannot grow in life without mistakes, without falling down, learning from it and rising up again. Life is like a school and failure, mistakes and success are the lessons we take in it. Our failure teaches us more lesson and help us to appreciate success when we finally attain it. So don't be afraid to fall, don't be ashame to admit your mistake and never fail to be thankful for the past for without it you won't have become a wiser person today.

If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with success unexpected in common hours.” – Henry David Thoreau.

Confidence is a key ingredient for success. Without faith in ourself and our God giving abilities success will remain a mere dream. There are lot of people with the right education and talent but lack the faith to put this abilities to work. Talent is never enough, once must possess the confidence to put these talent to work and believe firmly that he or she is capable of achieving what goal is desired.

A successful person is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks that others throw at him or her.” – David Brinkley

We live in a world where people are quick to criticize than encourage and these criticism hurts most when they are coming from people we think should know better. Criticism has it's positive and negative side, but overall our ability to rise above the criticism and go ahead to achieve our goal is what makes us a winner.

Stop worrying, start living! Worry is misuse of the imagination.” – Mary Crowley

Lets face it, is it okay to worry? of course as long as you are worried for the right reasons. If your teenage daughter is not back at the proper time, then there is need to worry. Worry can serve as an alarm clock to awake you to a possible danger but letting worry lose like a mad dog is where the problem lies. Be worried for the right reason but don't indulge in the habit.

Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.”– Mark Twain

Association is very important in life. There are people who are genuinely interested in seeing helping you succeed and there are people who just can stand to see you succeed. The trick is to constantly review those you walk with and as quick as possible, move away from those who are not adding to your life and move with people who are positive and wants to be part of your success story.
