Postage Meters Comparison Reviews

By Edited Nov 13, 2013 0 0

Did you know that you can ship things without having to go to the post office? Well, that’s exactly what postage meters are for. They provide you with the ability to print out shipping slips so you can stick them to your parcels, and mail them.

Before you purchase postage meters, you should make sure they are qualified by your mailing service. Most mailing services will provide you with a list of approved postage meters. Then, you can shop from there. Not all postage meters work the same. By that I mean that some work better than others. Let’s look at some them.

Let’s look at The Hasler IM5000. It is the largest machine that we will be looking at. Keep that in mind as we discuss its features. This product advertises three major features.

First, it has simple, ergonomic operations. That means that it is easy to use, and has less of a chance of hurting your body. It has a 5.7 inch color touch screen that can move all over the place. Second, it claims to be reliable.

Reliability is very important for postage meters. At 200 pounds, this machine means business. It can process about three hundred letters per minute. Third, it features state of the art cost control functionality. This means that it will always be trying to get you the best deal out there.

The Hasler is a good product, but it’s not the only product. Maybe it’s too big for you. Or, maybe you just want to try a different brand.

Next, we have the Neopost IJ-25 Digital Postage Meter. This is a lot smaller than the Hasler. This is better for smaller projects. It can take care of about twenty letters a minute. That’s a lot less than the Hasler, but it’s a much smaller machine.

The IJ-25 only weighs 11 pounds. So, if you want something smaller that will get the job done in a longer amount of time, then you should go with the IJ-25. Now, there is a middle ground between these two machines.

The Pitney Bowes Connect+ 1000 is a mid-range postage meter. It gets the job done. It prints about 160 letters per minute. This isn’t as fast as the Hasler, but it is a lot faster than the Neopost model. So, it’s a good in-between model.

These are just three options. There are many other postage meters out there to choose from. They each come with their own unique features. You probably need yours for unique reasons. You should do some research before you buy.

Don’t just choose any old one. They are so different and specialized that you will have to do some studying to find the perfect one. I hope that this will help you as you look at postage meters.

They are a great new tool to help you mail letters, and send packages. That’s right, some of these can also print you out package slips. This will also save you a lot of time.
