After the recent financial crisis, many households are looking for creative ways on how to save money on supermarket shopping, holiday trips, clothes and household expenditure; since electricity is probably one of the biggest financial burdens for many of us, this is probably the first area you need to address if you want to save money, the use of power saving monitors or an “Electricity Usage Monitor” as it is commonly known is probably the best appliance you can use to cut down on electricity bills.

Money Saving Accounts and Marketing Strategy
An electricity usage monitor is basically a smart meter, it is considered a ‘smart appliance’ since it will teach you how to save money by learning to control and watch over the usage of light, electricity and heating; this effective power saving monitor could be used as a more efficient replacement of your current electricity and gas meters. It is very simple to use, you just connect it to an electric appliance in order to calculate how efficient it is, and how expensive is to run it on a regular basis; there are also wireless monitors producing the same results but they tend to be more expensive.

Amazon is probably the best place where you can buy a cheap but efficient electric usage monitor, they provide a clear indication of the best products to buy and the reviews section by other people who have bought and used the products is probably the most effective features of this amazing selling platform: Amazon. I own a variant of the P3, called the "Kill A Watt" meter. I tested it against a $1000 lab-grade wattmeter from Valhalla Scientific and it was spot on for accuracy. I've had it for four years, loaned it to friends who have plugged every conceivable appliance into it and it survived every time. Definitely recommend getting one!

What a neat device! Thanks for sharing information on a power saving monitor. This is definitely something I will be checking into. I have often wondered how much it costs to keep some appliances plugged in, and ready to use, especially since some are not used that often. Congratulations on the Featured Article!

I didn't know devices such as these existed, all I was doing so far was reading my electric meter and comparing the data to my previous bill to determine my current usage! :)
