Preparing your Subfloor for Laminate or Engineered Hardwood Flooring

Before you even consider laying new laminate floors or engineered hardwood floors, there are a few things you need to consider. If you lay your new flooring down prior to prepping the subfloor, you run the risk of damaging your floors over time if the surface is not level amongst other things.

The first time I ever laid engineered flooring I did nothing to prepare my flooring and wound up cracking my expensive engineered hardwood floors within months. If you are considering replacing your current floors with either laminate floors or engineered hardwood floors make sure you follow these tips in the video to ensure a long healthy life for your brand new home improvement.
