Product Comparison: The Evenflo and Kolcraft Tandem Stroller
With two small children, sometimes problems are doubled. Twice the clothes, twice the bottles and twice the headaches. The need to take them both everywhere with you can become a bit of a struggle. Evenflo and Kolcraft both make a tandem stroller to help you with this.
The Evenflo and Kolcraft tandem strollers both have precision crafted wheels. These are made to handle smooth surfaces such as flooring in stores, as well as the rougher terrain of the park and the outdoors. At 20" wide, they both fit easily through doors and turn the sharpest corners with ease.
Both strollers will accept most brands of infant car carriers, but check with each manufacturer to insure your existing one will fit. The Evenflo has running boards on the side to help the children in getting in and out of the strollers. This makes it slightly more stable than the Kolcraft models.
While the Evenflo model seats recline separately, the Kolcraft ones move in unison. This may cause issues if one child is awake and the other asleep. The Kolcraft tandem stroller also requires that you take the children out to lay the seats back, the Evenflo tandem stroller does not.
Each of these strollers offers storage in the rear for the day's supply of diapers, spare clothing and a drink holder for the parents. The rear seat on each is raised slightly for the child in back to have a better view. This helps to alleviate boredom.
With both of these tandem strollers, you get a very solidly built, very safe product. When it comes to your children, it is safety first. Both Evenflo and Kolcraft use this as their first thought in design and you should use the same thought in your choice.
