The daily norm of protein for women usually makes some 60 to 90 grams, but as soon as many of them take the same workload as certain men, they obviously need more in order to have enough energy to function in a normal way. It is not always possible to get the necessary quantity of this compound with everyday menu, especially if the need is somewhat bigger than the average. That is why there is a certain reason in using special shakes that contain the necessary elements in the most easily digested form.
As it was already mentioned, protein shakes for women can be used for different purposes. Some of them are a kind of nutrition that helps to build the body, others can support in losing weight, provide necessary nourishing elements for pregnant ladies, and even help to gain weight.
As a rule, these cocktails are used in the form of a powder, which can be dissolved in milk, water, juice, tea or even coffee in order to have rather a thick drinkable substance. Depending on the purpose, the powder can contain proteins of diverse types, amino acids, hydrocarbons, non-saturated fat acids, vitamins and fragrances of fruits, chocolate, caramel and so on.

There are special cocktails for those who suffer from diabetes. Such ones can help keep the level of sugar in blood stable and low and in some cases can even reduce the required amount of insulin. Yet, before taking them it is necessary to consult a doctor in order to be secure.
Some cocktails can have specific contents: for example, those for strict vegans are based on soya protein instead of milk one. Others, due to the opinion that proteins can negatively affect female reproductive system, are enriched with phytoestrogens.
The taste of the prepared cocktails (powdered shakes) of this kind is in most cases somewhat like dairy. Though, it is possible to avoid this similarity and from time to time prepare such shakes at home.
A Recipe of the Tasty and Useful Beverage:
- 300 ml of milk or juice
- 50gr of powdered milk
- 2-3 eggs
- 2 soft bananas or peaches
- 2-3 tablespoons of protein powder
- 1 teaspoon of brewer’s yeast
Everything is mixed and whipped in a blender and in the end 3-4 cubes of ice are added.
