Puppy Obedience Training Made Easy

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

Having a pet dog at home is great because it is like having an additional member of your family or a very loyal best friend. People even said that dogs are better friends than humans because they will not stab you on the back and will be forever loyal to you.

However, as a pet owner and lover, you should also do your responsibility. For instance, it is imperative that you let your dog undergo puppy obedience training for him to be able to have a great relationship not just with you but also with other human beings and fellow animals.

Here are some tips that you should keep in mind if you decided to train your dog yourself.

· When your dog performed well and was able to follow instructions correctly, you should give him praise or rewards.

You can say "Good boy" and pat him on the head and you can also give him dog treats like biscuits. This way, he will be motivated to follow instructions.

· When your dog did something bad or incorrectly, you should only penalize him, not punish. A penalty can be something as simple as a jerk on his leash. This is really important when it comes to obedience training puppies.

Punishment, on the other hand, should be avoided because it will only create bad feelings between you and your dog and it will also affect his behavior towards others.

· Another very important puppy obedience training tip is to always be consistent. Do not change routines or patterns. Do not budge just because your dog is not following your command right away. Be persistent.

By doing these puppy obedience training tips, your dog will surely become the most behaved dog in your neighborhood.
