The enormously popular Harry Potter children's book series took the world by storm in a way that no other work of fiction ever has. Written by formerly unknown author J.K. Rowling, each book won its way into being a classic work of literature that will be read by many generations to come. If you have started reading any of the books, you have quickly realized that the Harry Potter books must be read in a very specific order to fully comprehend the events in each story. That's because the events in each book build upon the ones in the previous books. In addition, the central characters age throughout the series and move up in school. The movies obviously lag behind the books with regards to release dates, and although the book series has come to completion, the movie series still has two more Harry Potter adventures that are yet to be released. The only book that has not yet been released as a movie is the final volume, Harry Potter and the Deathly Gallows. Since this was the longest book that Rowling wrote in the series, the story line will actually be split into two separate movies.
