Queen Foam Mattress
If you have recently renovated or made improvements to your home it is imperative that you pick out the right mattress size for the bedrooms. A queen foam mattress is perfect for a smaller master bedroom, guest room or a teenager's bedroom. If you share a bed you know that it is essential to have enough room for comfort to get a good night's sleep. If you sleep with someone that tosses and turns it not only is important to have enough room, but with a queen memory foam mattress there will be less distraction from movement, because their side of the bed will only be affected.
If you are looking for new memory foam mattress it is important to know there are three different things you should consider that influence the cost and quality. 1. The density should not be less than 4 lb or at least 3" of foam in order to avoid sagging and longevity. Check to see how long the manufactures warranty is and if there is a return policy. A 10" foam mattress usually comes with a 10 year non-prorated warranty. 2. ILD rating of the memory foam mattress should be 13 to 15. A firmer mattress has a lower ILD number. If you have a bad back a firmer memory foam mattress is recommended. 3. Elasticity and resilience is important to know how temperature sensitive the material is as some memory foam mattresses get too soft with body heat. Also a memory foam mattress is known to retain heat. If you experience night sweats you may need to buy a terry cloth cover as this will allow the air to flow between you and the mattress. A terry cloth cover will also protect the foam mattress from stains.
If you want to spice up your master bedroom The Merrick Group which is a specialty sleep producer and their partner, Mattress Development Co. are coming out with a new line of beds…Playboy-brand beds in a number of different styles. Note: Your queen foam mattress will have an industrial odor when it is new, but this will dissipate over time. New bedding laws went into effect in 2010; the chemicals used to make a memory foam mattress flame retardant are no longer required, because the chemicals could cause health concerns. Check to see if your mattress has fire retardant PBDE, if it does not, avoid using any open flames such as; candles or cigarette lighters near the bed. A memory foam mattress is not recommended for infants that cannot pull up their heads. Due to the elasticity of the foam they may find it hard to turn or rotate their head and suffocate.
