Quick Weight Loss Diet
Is there really such thing as a quick weight loss diet? This will depend on your definition of quick as well as how much weight you want to lose. If you are trying to lose 50 pounds in 3 days, then unless you go with extreme solutions like cutting off body parts, you will not be able to achieve anything close to that. So let's put aside all of the unrealistic dreams of losing a ton of weight in a few days or weeks and focus on what you can do to gradually lose weight in a healthy way. The speed at which you will accomplish this will depend on many things such as your fitness level, your weight, metabolism, and how much effort you put into this. Before you start any type of training program or diet, you will want to first consult with your doctor.
Losing weight is quiet simple, but for some people it can be the biggest challenge they will ever face. The process just comes down to being able to burn more calories than you consume on a weekly basis. For every 3,000 calories you consume and don't burn, you will gain about 1 pound. The way you will want to structure your diet is to make is so you are not consuming so many calories that you won't be able to burn it off. For some people, this can mean cutting down what they eat on a weekly basis by half. Let's take this step by step.
The first step of the quick weight loss diet program is to keep track of how many calories you are eating over a 2 week period. So for two weeks, just eat the things that you normally do but write down the amount of calories everything that passes your mouth has. Some things won't have calorie information like fruits and vegetables so you will want to go online and look for the nutritional information on those things. A regular size banana is about 120 calories for example.
After you figure out how many calories you consume on a weekly basis by taking the average of the two weeks, you will then have to figure out how to cut 3,000 calories a week. This will equate to about 1 pound of weight loss a week. Keep in mind that other factors will come into play such as how much fat you burn during your exercise regimen but overall, if you decrease your calorie intake by 3,000 calories per week compared to what you have been consuming, you will lose about 1 pound per week over time.
You may be saying that 1 pound is way too little and that this was suppose to be a quick weigh loss diet and not a "I don't see a difference" weight loss diet. Don't worry, this is just a base. Once you know that cutting out 3,000 calories a week can help you lose 1 pound a week, you will have a much better idea of what you need to do to lose 5 pounds a week for example. You would either have to burn 15,000 calories more each week through your exercise regimen or consume 15,000 calories less a week. The best solution is to do a combination of the two. The reason for this is that you can't just eat less and expect the pounds to drop quickly. You will have to exercise in order to force your body to burn the fat that you already have. You can only cut so many calories out of your body.
The key to this whole quick weight loss diet is consistency. Again, your results will depend on what you are trying to achieve, your metabolism, and a bunch of other things but if you just stick with the basics of burning more calories than you normally consume in a week as well as cut down the amount of food you eat, you will start to see results. It's just basic math and science.
