Top 4 Quiet Computer Case Fans

Quiet Computer Case Fans

If you’re looking for quite computer case fans, then you’ve come to the right place. As a gamer, I know how annoying loud fans can be, and they can be even more annoying if you use speakers since they don’t block out the sound like headsets do. Sometimes I also like to watch movies on my computer, and my loud fans made it really hard for me to fully enjoy the movies. Not only are loud fans annoying, but they can also cause severe headaches if you spend a lot of time around them. This is because of the loud sounds that constantly plague your poor ears for hours and hours on end, and as a guy who suffers from migraine I wish I would’ve replaced my loud fans much sooner.

So if you tend to spend a lot of time in front of your computer – quite computer case fans are well worth the investment. In this article I’ll present some of the most quiet computer desk fans out there, but not at the cost of performance. We still want our fans to be able to do what they’re supposed to – cool our computers. I’ll admit, that as a gamer I would probably choose a well performing and loud fan over a poor performing quiet one. But that’s just me. So without further ado, here’s a mix of quiet and fans that cool well.

#1 Cooler Master 120mm Silent Case Fan

Cooler Master is a well trusted brand when it comes to computer merchandise, and I've always thought of them as quality. The Cooler Master 120mm Silent Case Fan performs extremely well at the ultra low sound of 19 dBA. They also promise to enhance air flow and cooling performance above your standard case fans. Not only is CM a quality brand, but they offer very low price too, so with Cooler Master it's always a win-win. Cooler Master has always been on top of the food chain when it comes to quiet computer case fans, and these fans are as good as it gets. There has been a couple of complains though about them being noisy which I don't get, they're super quiet. Just make sure they're tightly installed to eliminate eventual noise.

NZXT 200MM Silent 700 rpm LED Fan

NZXT Is another top brand found in the case fan industry. NZXT Is not only known for creating quiet computer case fans, but they also have a series of low noise computer cases. This fan offers great performance and air flow at the low sound of 20dBA, making it one of my top choices. And if you're using a chassis with a window on it this fan becomes a great choice, as it looks great and comes in different LED color options. If you're not into LED on case fans, you can of course choose to turn it off. One thing I don't like about this fan is the silly way to advertise it "Only Guaranteed to Work With NZXT products" It's a great fan, and it will work with most computer cases.

Noctua Ultra Silent 140mm Fan

This is another great fan that has received a lot of praise when it comes to quiet computer case fans. This particular fan comes in brown color, so it's certainly not for everyone. But if you're looking for a quality fan it's a great pick. Great thing about this fan is that you'll be able to adjust speeds, these are as follow; 1200, 900 and 750 RPM. It does get slightly noisy at the highest level, but that's to be expected. However, it runs very quiet at 900 and 750 RPM. Be aware if you're planning to place this fan vertically, as it does not always perform as well as it should at that angle.

This is an amazingly good looking and quiet computer case fan. Standard case fans are usually either 200mm or 120 mm in dimension, but this fan comes in the slightly odd middle-sized 140mm dimension. A good thing to note about this particular fan is that it runs great vertically, which is a preference to many computer enthusiasts. Overall this fan performs very well in comparison to its noise level. But to be completely honest, if you're looking to cool monster computers there are better options out there. But if you're looking for a quiet fan with good looks, this may be the perfect fan for you.
