Rapid Weight Loss - Tips and Advice

Rapid weight loss is the dream of many who are fighting the battle of the bulge. People have been trying for centuries to find the best way to rapidly lose weight, in a safe and predictable manner which doesn't endanger the health of the individual and doesn't leave them starving! There have been many fad diets promising rapid weight loss, some of which have been downright dangerous and others totally laughable!

I like many others have tried many diets, regimes, teas etc. and to be honest, the best methods I have found for rapid weight loss which have worked for me are both Atkins and something similar to the cabbage soup diet. Atkins has been my favorite and I have seen some good weight loss on this diet, although I'm not going to go into the pros and cons of the diet as that's another story entirely.

Whatever diet or regime you choose to go for, an essential part of rapid weight loss is, you guessed it, EXERCISE!! This is absolutely key to losing weight and will bolster your efforts many fold as it will increase your metabolism, thereby making you burn more calories, and tone your muscles, which will also aid in rapid weight loss.

Here are some quick tips for rapid weight loss which you should consider:

1. Break up your meals into 5 or 6 smaller ones.

2. Drink 8-10 glasses of water each day.

3. Increase your fruit and vegetable intake.

4. Exercise for a minimum of 30 minutes three times a week.

5. Eat wholesome grain and brown breads. These take longer to digest making you full for longer

6. Eat food which contains more fibre. This will clean your system out and also aid in feeling full

7. If you have cravings for sweet thing, go for sugar free options.

Some people have reported rapid weight loss with a supplement called Acai berry which is a natural fruit that increases your metabolism and cleanses your body from various impurities. You may want to incorporate this into your diet as an additional supplement and see how this works for you.

In terms of exercise, find something that you enjoy and stick to it. Exercise such as brisk walking and jogging can do wonder as well as long strolls in the park with the dog!

The most important thing to do is to do something that you enjoy, stay healthy and seek the advice of a medical practitioner at all times to ensure that what you are doing is safe.

If you can, get your partner on the same regime as you. Support is very essential in rapid weight loss as it can get very boring at times when you just want to give up and reach for the ice cream tub!

On rapid weight loss diets such as the ones I have tries. I have lost anywhere up to 3 kg in the first week, and then plateau off.

I suppose each body is different so results will vary, but if you follow the advice I've given above, you will make your rapid weight loss both easier and more successful!
