Metabolism Boosting Meals

When dieting use recipes to boost metabolism for faster weight loss. Eating the right kind of foods can help immensely when you are trying to lose weight. Using the right combination and balance of foods in your meals can increase your metabolic rate, giving you the fat burning kick you need, as well as giving you the energy necessary for a healthy exercise program.

A simple recipe to speed up your metabolism is for Southwestern eggs. This recipe makes 1 serving of just 129 calories:

Boil 4 eggs until they are hard-boiled. Remove 3 of the egg yolks and get rid of these. Include only one yolk in the meal. Mash the remaining egg in a bowl using a fork. Stir in 1 tablespoon of Greek yogurt, a pinch of garlic powder, a pinch of chili powder, a pinch of onion powder and 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. Mix until the consistency of the Southwestern eggs is creamy.

This recipe makes four metabolism boosting servings of chicken salad with spinach:

Take four boneless and skinned chicken breasts and cut them into small strips. Heat up 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large pan on a medium heat. Add the chicken strips, 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of pepper to the pan. Fry for around 7 minutes or until the chicken is cooked and brown. Take the cooked chicken from the pan and leave to drain on paper kitchen towels. Leave the juices in the pan. Mix together in a bowl a large bunch of washed and dried spinach (remove the stems first), 1 medium red onion (finely sliced) and the drained cooked chicken. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 4 tablespoons of cider vinegar and a handful of chopped pecan nuts to the juices left in the pan. Warm up this mixture a little while stirring and then pour it over the spinach, chicken and onion mixture. Toss in a container of fresh raspberries and serve.

Try this easy to make, yet tasty, dish for a metabolism boosting main meal:

Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to a frying pan and heat it up over a medium to high heat. Stir-fry a small can of salmon and 1/2 a pound of frozen vegetables in the pan. Put in a mix of either Italian or Cajun spicy seasoning. You can also vary the type of fish or vegetables in this recipe to make several different dishes.

As well as using recipes to boost metabolism for faster weight loss, try to drink two or three cups of green tea each day either after, or in between, meals. This will help to further increase your metabolic rate as well as providing you with antioxidant benefits. To keep your metabolic rate up consistently, eat several smaller meals spread over the course of the day, rather than three large meals.
