I Know This Much is True is a part of the Oprah Book Club Selection (June 1998). This novel was written by author Wally Lamb, and it’s about identical twins dealing with fraternal problems. Dominick Birdsey is the main character who’s 40 years old, a housepainter, horrifically abused and emotionally unavailable. His twin brother Thomas Birdsey is a paranoid schizophrenic who believes in public self-mutilation. This book allows the reader to follow every dark event the characters in this novel experience. Depressing events but inspirational.
