By Edited Jul 30, 2015 0 0

Scientific research and a growing understanding of how our bodies function and respond have made the
idea of reducing wrinkles a realitic possibility for all kinds of people, regardless of age.

Things You Will Need

Reducing wrinkles and fine lines on your face and other areas of your body was once thought virtually impossible. That is no longer the case. Science, along with common sense and a better understanding of health and the human body have made the idea of reducing wrinkles and fine lines a reality for many people.

Of course, currently there is a great deal of talk about medical treatments that can be practiced by medics or skin care professionals at medical facilities or health spas. Anyone can select from among wrinkle fillers, chemical peels, botox injections, laser and dermabrasion treatments. All of these have varying levels of effectiveness in reducing wrinkles for diverse persons. All can also be quite high-priced.

There are lots of topical treatment options available through different skin care products. These consist of blends of antioxidants, vitamins and other ingredients that can be formulated and presented to the public over-the-counter or as prescriptions. Some of these have shown at least a certain level of success in reducing wrinkles, though the success rate differs greatly and is frequently related to the individual's skin type and skin condition.

Experience has shown us that many of these topical treatments and medical approaches do not perform well for every person. A treatment that is fitting for one person may not be for another. We all have different sensitivities or skin conditions that may eliminate several of these treatment methods for reducing wrinkles. One individual may have an allergic reaction to a substance, whereas another may find that exact cream or treatment to be just the right thing for their skin.

Also to be considered is the fact that the competency of a "professional" is not always guaranteed. The price tag of a treatment is a further factor that must be weighed. This is not to doubt or deny the merit of these approaches to reducing wrinkles. Prudence and reason are mandatory, however. The last thing you want is to throw away a lot of cash and end disenchanted with the results, or worse, end with damaged skin.

Having said that, there are several simple things you can start to do now that won't cost you a penny.

Here are seven things you can begin to carry out now for reducing wrinkles:

1. Avoid the sun - nothing ages your skin more than sun exposure. If you have to be in the sun, put on protective clothes and sunscreen.
2. Drink a lot of clean water to keep your body and skin hydrated properly.
3. Exercise consistently - good blood circulation will keep your skin looking more youthful
4. Get plenty of rest - sleeping on your back has been demonstrated to reduce wrinkles on your face.
5. Eat right - foods rich in omega-3 (like fish), soy products, fruits and vegetables, all of which help in reducing wrinkles and getting skin to look more youthful and healthy.
6. Avoid smoking, don't overindulge in alcohol, don't let stress rule your day-to-day life.
7. Keep your skin moist - too much washing will rob your skin of its natural oils; use a good skin moisturizer.

Reducing and preventing wrinkles is surely within the reach of any person, regardless of age. As you can see, you have several options you can pursue to complete your goal of younger, better skin. Begin with these seven simple fundamentals first and procede from there.
