Fish - Wild-caught fish caught in clean water can be a great source of essential omega oils, vitamin B6 and B12. These elements give your body the nutrients it needs to be able to cope with stress and relieve some of the effects it has on your body. Fish has long been known as brain food, it can help you focus and concentrate when you need to the most.

Almonds - Almonds are a great source of Zinc, magnesium, vitamin E and vitamin B2, which are all components your body needs to help regulate your mood. Pasta and Whole Grain Rice - While pasta and some rice is derided for being carbohydrate-laden, they are still two of the best sources for stress-relieving food available. White pasta and rice have all their nutrients and health benefits stripped, so choose whole grain instead. Both whole grain rice and pasta are complex carbohydrates, so they will break down into sugars, but it is at a much slower pace, which allows it to be better absorbed and utilized by the body. This increases your energy and decreases your stress.

Blueberries - Blueberries are extremely high in antioxidants and rich in vitamin C, which are deadly for high stress levels. They are also packed full of fiber, so they keep your colon healthy and functioning as it should.

Beef - Beef contains, iron, Zinc, and is an excellent source of B vitamins, primarily vitamin B12. Together, they tackle stress levels in the body and help you feel calmer and better able to handle whatever life throws your way. You should always choose lean cuts of beef as animal fat has been shown to be a contributor to heart disease.

Cottage Cheese - This rich dairy product provides fantastic amounts of B vitamins, which increases serotonin and reduces the symptoms of stress. Double the effect by combing cottage cheese with fruits like pineapple or cantaloupe.
