There are many ways to remove tattoos, but not all of them can be done naturally. Fortunately, there are many affordable options for removing tattoos at home if you aren't ready to pay tons of money for laser tattoo removal treatments.

Usually, even with the more expensive treatments for tattoo removal, it is impossible to remove a tattoo completely. More than that, it also usually takes several treatments to even fade a tattoo to any considerable level. Therefore, if you are looking to remove your tattoos at home, then you should keep in mind that while it is possible to find tattoo removal products that will work at least somewhat effectively, you may not always notice an immediate difference after only one treatment. You also should not expect that by the end of your tattoo removal treatments, your tattoo will be completely gone. As stated, you may be able to decrease its visibility, but you will probably never be able to completely erase your tattoo.

There are many reasons why a person may want to remove a tattoo for good. Usually the most common reason is that the tattoo is a reminder of a person no longer in their life (such as an ex). But people may, in their older age, may want to remove a tattoo they got in their youth, and others may need to fade their tattoos due to their choice in career. If you'd like to know more about removing tattoos at home, read on.

Usually, the most popular way to remove tattoos at home is to use a tattoo remover cream. These products are usually affordable in price and are easy to apply and administer. The only problem with these tattoo removal products is that they vary in their effectiveness and may not work for everyone. You also will not necessary get the results you are looking for. But if you want to fade your tattoo to the extent that it is much easier to cover up with make-up or is simply not as easily visible, then this may be a good option.

Another good method for removing tattoos at home is to tricholoroacetic acid, also known as TCA. Like with the tattoo removal cream, unlike with laser treatments or dermabrasion, this is typically not a painful way to remove tattoos. TCA works by forcing the skin to exfoliate, thus getting rid of the top dead layers of skin and helping to fade the tattoo gradually. It's a good idea, of course, when using an exfoliater that you moisturize frequently to prevent your skin from drying out or parching.

Glycolic acid peels (i.e. products with alpha hydroxy acid) are one of the best ways to remove a tattoo if you can't get laser treatments. It is a relatively affordable way to fade a tattoo as long as you know what you are doing. Glycolic acid peels work by inflaming the skin so that it works to cleanse itself by removing any toxins or foreign substances, like the ink from your tattoo. Glycolic acid peels to remove tattoos usually will take several treatments before you really start to see a difference in the appearance of your tattoo. You should keep in mind that if you do not know what you are doing when performing an acid peel, you could end up damaging and scarring your skin. It's always a good idea, if you are not confident with your abilities, that you consult a professional for assistance.

There are many ways to fade a tattoo, but unfortunately not all of them can be done at home. But there are options available to you if you do not want to spend a lot of money on laser tattoo removal or dermabrasion. Usually the most popular ways for removing tattoos at home are with do-it-yourself treatments such as tattoo remover creams, exfoliation with TCA, and alpha hydroxy acid.
