Rent A House In Boise Idaho: Rent Near Boise State University

By Edited Nov 13, 2013 0 0

Want to rent a house in Boise, Idaho? Why not rent near Boise State University and experience one of the best area's of the city?

Perhaps more than anywhere else in Boise, the area around Boise State University offers a gigantic mix of culture, shopping, activities, entertainment and safety - and it's within walking distance of Downtown Boise, so if you want to shop or enjoy a night out, you won't even need your car.

I can hear you thinking: "That area would be great... but I'm not a student." Don't worry, you wouldn't be alone. While the student population is big, it's not overwhelming. In fact, I'd say four out of every five houses and apartments are filled by non students.

But if you are a student - what a great opportunity. All the amenities of one of Boise's best areas plus easy access to your classes (BSU parking permits cost several hundred dollars per year - why not save that money and walk to school?).

And perhaps the best deal of the area: You can easily catch Boise State Bronco football games, and do so without fighting for parking! Imagine how much fun you could have attending one of the country's best football games by simply walking down the street!

How Much Does It Cost To Rent Near Boise State University?

Not very much. Really. Unlike bigger cities where prices go sky-high the closer you get to campus, you won't find that in Boise. In fact, the average rent prices are about on-par with anywhere else in the city. In fact, in many instances you can find BETTER deals than you would elsewhere if you can find an anxious landlord desperate to fill a house or apartment vacated by a student who didn't make the grade, and therefore moved out before the lease was out.

I've lived in several places near BSU, even when I wasn't a student. And I'd consider it again, give the opportunity. The prices were so affordable that it's crazy to disregard this area.

Oh, I should also point out that Boise State is not known for crazy partying. In fact, they don't even have any chartered frat houses. Most students who attend BSU aren't the type you see in the movies, running around naked at night, throwing wild keg parties or eluding police officers for kicks.

And remember, the proximity to so many great things is one of my favorite 5 ways to save money every month. Because you won't be shelling out transportation money, you can still enjoy what you want in life without sacrificing quality. The savings comes in the lack of transportation costs, not your quality of life.

What You'll Find When You Rent Next To Boise State University In Boise Idaho

This area of Boise has some of the city's best public schools, family entertainment, nightlife, transportation access and shopping. I could go into a crazy amount of detail about each one of these, but instead I'll just say that you'll never get bored - regardless of what your tastes are.

For instance, the Discovery Center of Idaho frequently earns national recognition as one of the country's best family-learning centers. It's a hit amongst kids and parents alike. And if you get bored, just walk a block or two down to the Boise Zoo - both are located in Julia Davis Park, and that's actually the smaller of the two parks in this area, the bigger is Ann Morrison Park, and it's absolutely gigantic given the size of Boise.

This part of town is also one of the cleanest areas you'll ever find. The neighbors take pride in the area, and the city does a great job of keeping the entire area sparkling.
