Reusable Nursing Pads Review
We are all trying to become a bit greener, and a way to do that is to
use Reusable Nursing Pads instead of the disposable which fill up our
landfills. There are several reusable nursing pads to choose from,
some good, some not so good. I will go over a few here and give some
pros and cons.
Avent Washable Nursing Pads
These
reusable nursing pads provide even coverage but are not made for breast
size over a C. They retain their shape after washing, they are made of
flannel cotton in tightly woven layers which rests against your skin,
the other side is a poly lace. there is a spongy material on the
inside that holds the liquid. It is bulkier than the disposable, so
you wouldn't want to wear a tight shirt. They do tend to stick when
wet, which can be a bit uncomfortable. This is a good choice.
Lansinoh Washable Nursing Pads
These
are very comfortable, even when they are wet. I do however, need to
change them often. When going out, I would wear a backup disposable
with them, at least when I was first nursing. I like the fact that
they are larger than other reusable nursing pads, and are made of a
soft flannel. They are also smoother looking than the other washable
pads, underneath clothing.
Lily Padz Reusable Nursing Pads
These
are my favorite of all the reusable nursing pads I have tried. I had
read a lot of reviews before trying these. I give these 5 stars
because of the convenience, comfort, and because they work. These are
a revolutionary design, and I feel that you really don't need to try
anything else after using these.
The Lilypadz
reusable nursing pads are small and secure, and allow me to sleep
without my bra, which by the way was so uncomfortable. They attach
securely and easily, and can removed without any pain. It protects
your breasts from sticking to the cotton pads, or rubbing against your
clothing. They are virtually invisible under your clothing, and if you
apply them the right way, you will not have any leaking. So, this is
my favorite choice in reusable nursing pads.
