Ok why I loved this netbook for my daughter.
· this netbook comes in a variety of colors. We opted for the pink netbook. Very girly. For those of us with little girls we know how important this is. The Lenovo also comes in purple, black, and yellow.
· Smaller than traditional laptops. Very convenient for little people and little hands.
· Light weight. Easy for little one to carry around.
· Comes with built in parental control. Kids cannot get into internet explorer without parental code. It has a great internet feature for the kids, and they get to create there and design their own profile, and they can only view websites approved by parent. Really great and safe way for kids to go online.
· Integrated 1.3 megapixel Camera and Veriface Facial Recognition Software. Ok your kids will love this. The Lenovo s10-2 netbook has a built in camera so my daughter could Skype with her cousins out of state. Also the built in camera has a facial recognition, this was very cool. To login the computer camera would scan my daughters face and allow her to login. This was her security feature. So her siblings could not get into her computer. This part is very high tech, and spy like. Kids will love this.
Great battery time. Last about six hours. So great for trips or being outside the house
· Comes with a small amount of memory but you can upgrade. But it really isn't bad if this is genuinely for the kids. I am still using the original memory, the only issues I run into is when I have taken my daughters laptop and used it for my work. Then it can get slow. Again this can easily be remedied by adding additional memory.
Lenovo S10-2 10.1-Inch Pink Netbook - Up to 6 Hours of Battery Life
In today's day in age children are much more computer savvy then their parents ever where. My six year old daughter can login to my computer go to her favorite websites, play games, and open up Microsoft and type letters. So for her birthday I knew it was time for her to get her own computer. I first received a lot of negative feedback from friends. They told me six years old was way too young to have a computer. And of course we know that there are a lot of dangers that out in the internet world, so of course keep my six year old safe was also a concern. Well I did my research and I found the best option for my daughter and I think for anyone else looking to invest in a computer for their young ones. A pink Lenovo netbook. Ok what is a netbook you ask? Well by definition at netbooks are a category of small, lightweight, legacy-free, and inexpensive laptop computers.
Overall I was very happy with the Lenovo S10-2 10.1-Inch Pink Netbook. Great gift for the little ones. This was a great birthday present for my six year old.
