If you have small children around the home then you know how difficult it can be to keep your carpet clean and free from entrenched dirt that the kiddies drag in. When people typically think of steam cleaners they associated them with big clunky expensive machines that you more than likely have to rent from your local grocery store.

The Hoover F5914-900 SteamVac makes an affordable and sensible option when it comes to deep cleaning their carpet without having to deal with clunky commercial steam cleaning equipment. It boasts a powerful 12-amp motor to lift up even the toughest stains. What I like most about the Hoover F5914-900 SteamVac is it's easy to clean design and a powerful "clean surge" button to give you a little extra steaming grunt for difficult areas.

The Hoover F5914-900 SteamVac has two water tanks; one for clean water and the other for the dirty. It uses the water very efficiently and that means less occurrences you have to fill the clean water reservoir. The sleek "vacuum cleaner like" design enables me to maneuver the Hoover F5914-900 SteamVac with ease and store comfortably in my small hallway closet.

The Hoover F5914-900 SteamVac's electrical cord and vacuum hose are adequately long enough to take care of more areas without constantly unplugging /moving the cord to different plug-ins around the house.

I have always liked Hoover products and they have a pretty excellent track record for quality and life. So far I am extremely happy with the product and it has not had any issues whatsoever. Compared to other commercially available steam cleaners, the Hoover F5914-900 SteamVac seems to perform much better while not totally soaking your floor with water and carpet shampoo. My carpets dry very quick, that is probably due to the Hoover F5914-900 SteamVac's ability to use the water and shampoo fed through it more efficiently. Like most Hoover products, it comes backed with a one year warranty!

In Closing

My only complaint about the Hoover F5914-900 SteamVac is that I would like a little bit of a wider track. Although a wider track would increase the steam cleaners overall bulk, I believe it could use a little more coverage area when it comes to the cleaning bristles. Other than the track issue, the machine performs flawlessly and for the price, you can't beat the value the Hoover F5914-900 SteamVac provides.
