Rieker Shoes for Women
Rieker shoes for women have achieved a unique feat in the realm of women's footwear. They are both comfortable and attractive.
This is indeed rare for a woman's shoe. I mean, think about it. You usually have one of two scenarios. One, you have shoes which are made for comfort, and they absolutely look as if they were made for comfort. They are thick soled and clunky, and really look as if they should be on the feet of no one aside from nurses who have to be on the run for 18 hours straight, or possibly grandmotherly types who won't see the sunny side of 80 again. They may be easy on your feet but they are hard on the eyes!
The other choice is shoes which are beautiful visually, but which are murder on your feet and legs. Think Manolos or Jimmy Choos. Yes, of course, they look sexy and they complement your outfit beautifully, but they can be cripplingly painful to wear for more than an hour or two. And forget about going on a long walk with them on!
Well, now there is another choice, a great middle ground between comfort and style. The balance has finally been struck, and it's by a European shoe corporation known as Reiker.
So what makes Rieker shoes for women so different?
Well, first of all, they are of extremely high quality. Everything from the materials they are constructed from to the attention to detail and professionalism evident in the craftsmanship in absolutely top notch.
Secondly, they are designed and engineered to work ergonomically with the human foot, specifically womens' feet. Everything from pressure points to weight distribution to foot position in relation to lower back strain has been taken into account. They are constructed in such a way as to bend naturally with your foot as it flexes, making walking a dream experience, rather than a struggle which produces sore feet.
The team at Rieker has been dedicated to this one mission - to create fashionable and functional footwear - since 1874, so they definitely know what they are doing.
Rieker makes, not only shoes, but also sandals and boots, to match with any outfit.
Rieker's shoe styles are called by different women's names, possibly named after the women who inspired each design.
The Liv is a knee high boot with a stylish buckle on the outer side near the top of the boot. It comes in a selection of colors, including brown and black, and retails for $139.95
The Astrid is a striking design for a boot. It is slightly taller than the Liv, and the upper quarter of the leg is encircled with two leather straps, anchored by an ornamental button for each. The Astrid retails for $134.95.
The Eike is a sportier boot, with rubber soles made for walking. It comes to the mid-calf area of the leg and is decorated with a horizontal stripe that swoops to an elegant arc over the toe. The Eike retails for $129.95.
The Kendra is an ankleboot which would make a more high-fashion departure paired with more formal outfits. The leather is gathered over the toes to striking effect. The Kendra retails for $124.95.
Lastly, the Sarah. This gray and sassy low-heeled ankleboot combines roughened texture over the toe with a smooth, glossy finish over the bridge of the foot. Top that off with an oversize brass button ornamentation at the side of the bridge, and what you have is a cute and comfortable shoe that will go with just about anything. The Sarah retails for $99.95.
The truth is, to make a fashionable impression but still be comfortable even if you're on your feet all day long, you really couldn't do much better than Rieker shoes for women.
