Las Vegas Nightlife

Romantic Spa Days

Looking for a romantic place to get away for Valentine’s Day?  Las Vegas is a fun holiday spot that you will both enjoy.  Whether you like to dress up and go dancing at the night clubs, want to see a show, would like to try your luck in the casinos, or just wish to relax in a spa, there are a multitude of great Valentine ideas in Las Vegas.  In fact, whether you are making plans for Valentine’s Day, an anniversary, honeymoon or other special occasion, an entertaining and exciting option is to whisk your loved one off to a romantic Vegas weekend.

Romantic Spa Day

Most of the large resort hotels, such as the Venetian, the Ballagio, Mandalay Bay, the Golden Nugget and the Wynn, have a spa.  Personally, I have enjoyed relaxing in the spas at the Ballagio and the Golden Nugget, while my husband golfed, and felt completely refreshed and renewed afterwards.  Whichever spa you choose, take the time to fully enjoy the experience.  There are separate men’s and women’s facilities at the spas, where each of you can spend the day pampering yourselves.  There is no better way to begin a romantic evening than to start off feeling rested and refreshed.  Begin your spa day with a healthy breakfast or lunch, followed by a few hours enjoying the spa’s saunas or indulging in some of their luxurious treatments, such as facials, body wraps or massages.  If both of you are enjoying a spa day, once you’ve each had time to relax and unwind, you can end the afternoon with a romantic couples massage.  Afterwards, you’ll both be refreshed and ready for a night on the town.

Romantic Vegas Dining

After your spa day, you’ll want to head out to dinner at one of the many fabulous restaurants in Vegas.  The revolving Top of the World restaurant in the top of the Stratosphere is a fun place to gaze out over the lights of the city, as well as watch the sun set over the mountains in the distance.  Afterwards, you can walk up to observation deck on the roof to gaze out at the night sky and enjoy the view a little longer. If the Stratosphere is full, there are plenty of other restaurants to choose from, many of them with views of the world famous strip.   Another alternative is to enjoy dinner at one of the restaurants along the canal inside the Venetian.  You will feel as though you have been transported back to Italy, as you listen to the singing gondoliers and enjoy a variety of cuisine.  In fact, no matter what type of food you want to try, from Sushi to Italian or French, you are likely to be able to find it in Vegas.

Romantic Evening of Sightseeing

After dinner, you will want to walk off your meal by doing a little strolling past the casinos.  If the weather is chilly, head over to the Venetian Hotel for a gondola ride.  You will immediately feel as though you are drifting through the canals of Venice.  In nice weather, the Venetian also has an outdoor gondola ride.  Either indoors or out, while you glide along you will be serenaded by your gondolier.  If the weather is beautiful, you both may enjoy strolling along the Strip, people watching and taking in all the glamorous hotels and casinos.  No evening would be complete without relaxing for a while in front of the Bellagio Hotel, listening to inspiring music as their fountains put on a spectacular water show.

Romantic Vegas Nightlife

Later in the evening, there are an unbelievable number of entertainment choices.  Many of the casinos are gorgeous.  The Paris Hotel, with a replica of the Eiffel Tower on top, makes you feel as though you have traveled to a romantic Paris community.  Many of the other casinos also have been beautifully decorated.  You may enjoy trying your hand at a game of 21, or putting a few coins in a slot machine.  However, although Las Vegas is famous for gambling, there are many other ways to pass the evening, too.  Nearly all the major hotels on the Las Vegas Strip have a nightclub with live music and entertainment.  In addition, Las Vegas is known for producing fabulous live shows.  At any give time in Las Vegas, there are dozens of well-known magicians, comedians, singers and other entertainers performing. The Cirque du Soleil has a number of incredible shows being performed throughout the city. Many tickets to shows are available at a discount on the day of the performance, so ask the concierge at your hotel where you can go to purchase half-price tickets.  You may also want to read, “Where to Find Discount Las Vegas Show Tickets.”

Romantic Vegas Weddings

Of course, Las Vegas is also well-known as a wonderful place for quick and easy weddings.  There are an abundance of wedding chapels in Las Vegas, and any cab driver can take you to the Marriage License Bureau.  If you are both over 18, have a driver’s license and have $60, you can quickly get a marriage license.  Another cab ride to the chapel of your choice, and you can be married in a few hours.  There are many chapels to choose from, and most of them are available on short notice with just a phone call.  You can learn more by reading “Easy and Cheap Las Vegas Weddings” or some of the other articles listed at the bottom.  What could be a more romantic way to spend Valentine’s Day than that?
