If you're not very educated with herbal remedies, there are herbs that are safe to take that you can trust. Even the very safe herbs are not guaranteed to help you or not to cause side affects, but in the long run, they are better for you when used correctly.

Echinacea is one of the safest herbs you can take. It is even safe for children. This is one of the best herbal remedies for a cold or sore throat. You can even squirt the liquid form at the back of your throat when you get a sore throat. Once you are well, stop taking this herb as your body becomes immune to its affect if taken continuously.

Aloe Vera is an exceptionally safe used as part of your herbal remedies routine. You can use the live plant for cuts and burns. Just break off a piece and use the gel inside to help heal the wound. You can also purchase the liquid form of Aloe Vera. Drinking this daily can help with all kinds of digestive problems such as constipation. It is also known to clear up acne.

Butchers Broom is part of the lily family. This is a great herb to use for varicose veins. It has also been known to be used as a diuretic and as a laxative as well. If you have high blood pressure though, you should consult a doctor while using this herb for herbal remedies. Sometimes there can be interactions when you are on prescription medications and also take herbal supplements.

Valerian is a calming herb that can be used to help you relax or even sleep. It will not be effective to take this in small dosages. If you have chronic fatigue or depression problems, you shouldn't take this herb at all, as it may not help when you have these conditions. California poppy may be a great alternative if you cannot use Valerian.

Evening Primrose is a common weed which has some awesome herbal properties. You can safely take this herb internally for arthritis as it has anti-inflammatory properties. It can also be used for PMS symptoms of swelling. It is also known to help serious skin disorders like Psoriasis. This is a very safe herb to use for herbal remedies as mentioned and is available in capsules, as well as tea form.

Ginkgo comes from a very large tree in China. One of the interesting things that Ginkgo Biloba can be used for is mental alertness. It has been recommended by some to slow the debilitating process of Alzheimer's disease. Ginkgo can be highly affective when used for asthma and allergies. This is because it has natural antihistamine abilities. For this reason, it can be as affective in dealing with bronchitis.

Green Tea has been around a long time and has only begun to get recognition as a safe herbal remedy. Drinking green tea or taking it in capsule form can benefit you in many ways. Green Tea can protect you against heart disease. Some of the other remedies that Green Tea is used for are weight loss, energy, high cholesterol, mental alertness and help in some cancers. To make sure you are using quality Green Tea, use Green in capsule form or tea with only 100% Green Tea in it. There are lots of products on the market that say Green Tea which have very low amounts of green tea in them. These type of products will be of no benefit. If the label doesn't state the amount of green tea it contains, it is not worth buying.

Lemon Balm is excellent to help calm the stomach when it is upset. It can also be used to help with colds and the flu. This is primarily because it has antiviral properties. This is a very safe herb to use and can even be used to heal mosquito bites.

Excellent information. Many assume because it is natural it is safe, great list of the safe herbal remedies
