Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 is an improved version of Samsung's popular mid-range smartphone Galaxy Ace. The phone doesn't have the high end features of the Galaxy S3 but it's dual core processor alongwith Android offer a package that will suit most users. Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 supports quad-band GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 2G networks and dual-band HSDPA 900 / 2100 3G networks. It is capable of global roaming and uses a mini-Sim.

Design and Display:
The handset measures 118.3 x 62.2 x 10.5 mm and weighs 122 grams. It is slimmer than the previous Ace and is relatively compact as well. At the front, it has an 3.8 inches PLS TFT capacitive display which has a resolution of 480 X 800 pixels and pixel density of 246 ppi. Below the display, you will find 2 Menu and Home soft keys with a dedicated Home button in between them. The display offers a good viewing experience and supports multi-touch.

Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 is equipped with a 5 megapixel camera which can take photos of up to a maximum resolution of 2592 X 1944 pixels and record videos of 720 pixels at 30 frames per second. The camera has features like autofocus, geo-tagging, face and smile detection and various other settings which you can change to suit your needs. It also has an LED flash which allows you to take good photos even in low-light conditions. For video calls, there is a front facing VGA camera.

Hardware and Operating System:
The phone packs in decent processing power in the form of a NovaThor U8500 chipset with a Dual-core 800 MHz processor and Mali-400MP graphics processor. Internal storage capacity is 32 GB which can be further expanded by up to 32 GB using an external microSD card.

Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 features Android operating system v2.3 (Gingerbread) out of the box. Users can also upgrade it to Android v4.1 Jelly Bean. Some of the applications which come pre-loaded include a HTML web browser, Quickoffice Document viewer and editor, Google Maps, Google Search, Organizer and much more. You can also access Google Play store from where you can download third-party applications.

Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 offers a wide range of connectivity options. It supports GPRS, EDGE and high-speed HSDPA (3G). You can also connect to Wi-Fi networks or use your phone as a Wi-fi hotspot and share your phone's internet connect with other Wi-fi enabled devices. File transfer options include DLNA, Bluetooth v3.0 and microUSB v2.0

The phone is equipped with a standard Li-Ion 1500 mAh removable battery which has a official rated stand-by time of up to 670 hours on 2G networks and 640 hours on 3G networks. It also offers a talk time of up to 16 hours on 2G networks and up to 7.5 hours.on 3G networks.
