Dress as Scooby and the Gang for Halloween 2016

Is there anyone who hasn’t heard of Scooby Doo?  Halloween costumes that replicate Scooby and the gang of Mystery, Inc.-Fred, Daphne , Velma and Shaggy are sure to be a hit when you trick or treat together or attend a costume party together.

The History of Scooby Doo

Scooby Doo, Where Are You?, created by the talented Hanna Barbera, was a Saturday morning cartoon that debuted in 1969.  Scooby and his crew of four teenage friends solved mysteries, and were always successful.  They were referred to as “those meddling kids” by the perpetrators.  Famous guest stars of the day joined the gang to help them figure out who committed the crime.  Mamma Cass Elliot, The Harlem Globetrotters, Sonny and Cher, and Jonathan Winters were just a few of the celebrities who lent their voices to one of the longest running cartoons on television.

Scooby Doo Halloween Costumes for Adults

Because it is a cartoon that has been loved by generations, people will smile when they see your family or group in costume.  Scooby Doo costumes come in both child and adult sizes.

For toddlers and older children, the Scooby costume is similar in design.  Your younger child can go as Scrappy Doo, Scooby’s playful nephew.

Fred, who wore a bright red ascot, was Mystery Inc.’s unofficial leader.  He would often come up with the ideas that would trap the villain.  Although they were never officially a couple, Fred and Daphne would pair up most of the time to find out what was going on.

On one of your other articles I left a comment, claiming that I should wear a costume as the Swedish Cook from The Muppets. But now (after having read this article) I have changed my mind to the Great Dane Scooby Doo!
I am Danish living in Sweden.
Thumbs up for your article!

Thanks for reading! All three of my kids love Scooby Doo! I no longer get emails when people comment, so it is hard to see them in older articles.
