Seasonal Allergy Symptoms and Remedies

By Edited Jul 22, 2016 0 0

My husband suffers from severe seasonal allergies. He can't even get out of bed some days, which in turn also makes me miserable. The symptoms of most seasonal allergies include, headache, congestion, fatigue, restlessness, runny nose, sneezing, itchy eyes, and coughing. His biggest issues were always itchy eyes and congestion.

I swear we tried every type of allergy medication there was over the counter, but were unable to see a doctor about the problem because of a lack of health insurance. He pretty much had to suffer every spring, especially when there was a high content of cotton in the air. He would even take random medications that his granmother would hand him and say that they were samples he doctor's had given to her.

If something did work then it would only worn for a few days and then his body just seemed to adapt to it. That is when a friend introduced us to the Netty Pot. I know...sounds like some type of narcotic, but oh what a difference it has made for him.

The system consists of a small lamp type apparatis (looks like the lamp from Aladin) that comes with snall packets of the systems own special solution. You are instructed to fill the Netty Pot with warm water and alow the soluton to mix in with the water. Then standing over the sink or towel you are to tip the pot into your nostril. Your head should be tilted to the side to allow the substance to go up into one nostril and out of the other. If you have a lot of conjestion this may not happen that easily.

My husband did not really enjoy the experiance the first time and got a little bit of the solution down his throat. Not to mention that he looked really funny the entire time. But when he was finished, even though he was not able to get the water to go in one nostril and out the other, he felt a million times better and has not really had to deal with a seious allergy attack since. Anytime he does he just simply uses the Netty Pot and in just a short period of time he feels much better.
