One good thing about plastic poker cards that their counterparts do not have is that they are washable. With all the drinks around the table when we play poker accidents are sure to happen. With the plastic poker cards you can simply wash them with water and wipe them and they are back to their clean state. Plastic poker cards also have the advantage of being more flexible than paper cards. They will bend for you to look at your dealt hand and then go back to their original form when you let go. The paper cards will stay bent which is not a good thing. They also undergo too much tear.

Another difference between both the types of poker cards lies in their indexes. This is the size for example of the number that they have printed on. The index can be huge or tiny depending on what the buyer needs. Some professional players prefer the really small indexing. It makes it harder for anyone to spy and see what hand they are holding. It does however also become a tad bit more difficult for him to see them too so it's a fifty-fifty.

As the game of poker can be played by anybody who wishes, people felt that the blind were being left out. Braille poker cards were therefore invented for the blind. This will help them play on any poker table without any discrimination. As a matter of fact some blind players have been able to win poker championships.
