Self Storage Frequently Asked Questions
As someone who has over 10 years experience in the self storage field, I can safely say I know a thing or two about the industry. I put together this mini frequently asked questions guide for those individuals that are not sure on this type of service yet have a requirement for such a thing.
When I am at work, I regularly meet with new clients on a day to day basis. They will ask me some great questions and I am more than happy to help them with their issues. On the other hand, some of them also ask me the same question I hear pretty much everyday. I don't have a problem with that, but hopefully anyone reading this will have their basic questions answered so when they get to the storage company, they can ask some more advanced queries. Lets make a start on this mini self storage FAQ.
Is it safe to keep my goods in a storage unit?
Yes, as a matter of fact it's probably safer to keep your items with a company like mine than your own house. The reason being is that we have security guards and all the latest surveillance technology. What items go in will only go out with the owner's knowledge.
Will my precious items get damaged?
No. The reason that for this is that all the rooms at any professional storage company, will have the ability to change its environment to suit the goods within. For example, If you are storing important paper documents, you will be sure that we will create a suitable environment that will keep them dry and protected from such things as light damage.
Will I need to travel long distances to find such a company?
No. The storage industry is growing rapidly; this is a great thing for everyone involved. Back in the 80's such a service was only limited to major cities, now we have access to them all over the country. This eliminates any issues of using an independent company to carry your belongings half way across the country before you can rest easy knowing your goods are safe.
This convenience makes it a lot easier for people to take advantage of self storage providers.
I hope you enjoyed my mini FAQ, maybe now that you know storage is secure, clean and local you can ask a company in your area for more advice.
