Selling Your Jewelery

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

Are you trying to sell your old jewelry but do not know where to start? There are many things to look in to when selling your jewlery. Many people will just take their old jewelry to a pawn shop and sell it to them for whatever the pawn shop will give them but in some cases, the value of the jewelry is much more. Start out by doing a little bit of research on the internet about your jewelry. Find out the value of gold if there is any gold on your jewelry and find out the weight of your jewelry. If there are any stones in your jewelry then consider that and take a look at values of these stones based on the weight of the stone in your jewelry. Take note of any damage that your jewelry may have because this can lower the value. If you want an accurate price range for your jewelry, you can have your jewelry appraised. You can find jewelry appraisal places by searching online. Only do this if you know that you have a valuable piece of jewelry because you will have to pay to have your item appraised. The prices for jewelry appraisal are different at each place so shop around if you want to have your jewelry appraised. Once you know the value of your jewelry, you can start looking for different places to sell your jewelry.

You can go to jewelry stores and see if they are interested in purchasing your jewelry or you can try to sell your jewelry online. There are many different auction websites like ebay that allow you to post your jewelry for whatever price you wish and hope that someone bids on it. Selling your jewelry online may take longer than going in somewhere and just selling it but you can possibly make much more money doing it this way. You can also sell your jewelry to a pawn shop if no jewelry stores are interested and you need money fast or cannot sell it online. Pawn shops will not give you the amount of money that your jewelry is worth but it is a fast way to get rid of it. If the pawn shop is not going to give you a good price for your jewelry, you can pawn it for now and get it out later once you find a buyer or keep searching around for someone to purchase your jewelry. Make sure that you get the best deal possible for your jewelry when you sell it.
