Sensual Signs Can Save the Day

Having a sign to represent your establishment can take your business from backwards to booming. How so? Well, think about it: If you're looking to attract suave, sophisticated customers, then you need a suave, sophisticated sign to draw them in and seal the deal.

Look at most large chain stores. They have very neutral signs, which allow them to draw in all kinds of customers from different walks of life. Think about some of the stores with fancy signs. When you first think of them, you may be a little off-put. With such a fancy sign, surely their prices are thru the roof! Perhaps this isn't true, but how would you know? You haven't gotten a chance to go inside. You've just seen the outside, and the outside screams expensive.

The same works with chain stores and especially clothing stores. For hip punk clothing, you'd be more likely to go into a shop with a bright, eclectic sign than something a little more muted, and vice versa.

But as a small business, the idea of purchasing your own signs may seem quite daunting. Where are you going to get the money from? It's not that you can't advertise, it's just finding the finances to do so.

Luckily, nowadays you can purchase your very own signs for less than a laptop. In fact, you can buy a sign for less than an eighth of the cost of a laptop and customize it.

But what are such cheap signs made of?

The answer is vinyl. Vinyl had its heyday during the record era, but in reality, it's used in everything from toys to piping. It's extremely cheap as well, despite remaining very durable and flexible. To make a vinyl sign, sign-makers prep the vinyl and use large printers to print whatever you desire. This could be your favorite cartoon character, your logo, or whatever font you fancy.

The ink used in printing signs is UV treated to promote the longest life possible. The signs themselves last over five or possibly more years, but with UV treated ink, even your ink lasts longer!
