Are you looking to add that something extra to your love life through the use of some sexy costumes?

Let's face it. Sometimes day to day life can threaten to snuff out the spark in our love lives and can use a shot of fresh air. Many couples have found that the use of sexy outfits can breathe life back into an otherwise stagnant relationship. Although many people may not want to admit it, having fantasies is a natural and healthy process. For me, Bo Derek on the beach ranks right up there with Princess Leia in that gold slave bikini in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. (But, with those selections, I may just be showing my age!) Alternatively, my wife tells me that women have fantasies about strong and confident men. For whatever reason, men in uniforms -- including first responders like police officers and firefighters, sports stars, soldiers, sailors, etc., -- start the drool flowing and they can hardly contain themselves. Admit it women: you can get caught up in a fantasy as easily as a guy, right? How about a fantasy where you are that sexy vixen dressing provocatively for your man (or woman)?

Dressing in these extremely hot costumes is healthy and natural and certainly nothing to be ashamed or embarrassed about. Couples routinely use sexy costumes as part of their role playing to keep things exciting! After all, you are with your partner because you are attracted them, right. (A common misconception is that if you want him or her to dress up for you, you are fantasizing about others and no longer want to be with your partner. Generally speaking, that could not be further from the truth!) Frankly speaking, the desire to see your significant other dressed in a skimpy french maid outfit does not necessarily mean you secretly wish to have sex with a maid. To the contrary, acting out these fantasies allows you to experience something new, which is, after all, what life is all about. The best thing about using sexy costumes as a part of your normal life is that is like a year round Halloween party where you constantly receive something much more satisfying than candy.

Luckily, there are many different types of sexy costumes that you can buy. If you are contemplating fulfilling a fantasy of yours or your partner, you may initially be uncomfortable doing so at your local stores. One method of reducing the anxiety associated with sexy costumes is to start out small. Use accessories. Try something very subtle at first. Although it is (usually) just you are your partner involved in the "experiment," there oftentimes is years of history between the two of you, a history which for the most part likely did not involve sexy get-ups or props. It is so easy to be embarrassed even in front of your significant other so take it slow and build up that confidence.

When searching for a sexy costume to purchase, such as skimpy lingerie or some other type of provocative under garments, sometimes there is more to it than how you look (although, admittedly, that is usually the primary goal!). Instead, also consider how the sexy costume is made. How it is constructed and what type of materials it consists of can tell you a lot about the quality of the outfit. Do yourself a favor and purchase the best quality sexy outfit you can afford so that the costume does not wear out before the fantasy!

Finally, consider wearing those sexy costumes somewhere other than just the bedroom. Having your wife or girlfriend walking around the house in a scantily clad French maid outfit is just that much more "hot" than merely under the sheets in your bed (but hey, we are not complaining about that either!). Similarly, having your man playing the role of the muscle-clad mechanic is probably more enjoyable acting out a role in the garage than somewhere less authentic.

Obviously, however, fantasies vary from person to person and what you find sexy might be a turn off to your partner. As a result, the best use of sexy costumes comes after you have spoken with your partner and each of you have openly and honestly disclosed what sexy costumes would help you live out those fantasies!
