I want to give a review on the Shark Floor Steamer, and let you know if this is something you should buy, or maybe try another direction. I am not going to make up your mind for you, however, I will give you the pros and cons, then you can make up you own mind. I will also give you some other suggestions to compare, and see if they might fit your needs a bit more.

Pros:

The Shark floor steamer is very lightweight, making it easy to maneuver
Steam is ready in approximately 30 seconds, maybe a little more
It releases the steam with a push-forward motion when mopping
10.5 inch cleaning path
Comes with 2 reusable microfiber pads
Equipped with a 20-foot power cord
Mop is very easy to take on and off with hook and loop fasteners
Does not leave streaks
Great for hardwood floors
Great design, and concept

Cons:

The biggest weakness in the Shark floor steamer is the handle
The handle is very flimsy, and will break after a bit of use
Replacement pads are a bit pricey
You may have to rinse the pad in order for it to really pick up the gunk
You have to do a bit of scrubbing back and forth to get the dirty spot
Good performance overall

The Shark Steamer is a great mop for the price, as it is priced lower than the other steam mops on the market. As I mentioned, the main drawback is the handle, but if you are cautious, not letting it drop, or putting extra pressure on it, then it should give you no problems.

Okay, you know the flaws that are in the model I just wrote about? Well, they don't exist in this model. I highly recommend this to everyone. This actually will make your mopping fun. I know it is a bit pricier than the smaller model, but is well worth the $ difference. It works great on hardwood, laminate, and tile, and goes through the grime with such ease.
