By | Dec 1, 2009 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

Shopping online for colored contacts can be extremely confusing if you're not aware of the different kinds of contacts that are out there. In fact, in addition to hard and soft regular contacts for people with eyesight problems, there are colored contacts and about for other different kinds of contact lenses. If you're not aware of this, you can wind up purchasing something that you were not looking for. However, if you do your research, you will see that there are distinct differences between all of these different kinds of contacts.

Part of the problem is the confusing names for some of the lenses. In the past, there were only a few kinds of contact lenses and it was extremely easy to know what the differences were. For example, there were hard lenses and soft lenses. There were color contact lenses and those were not necessarily for people with eyesight problems. Today, there are a variety of colored contact lenses and other types of contact lenses that have nothing to do with eyesight problems or adding color to your eyes.

There are two types of contact lenses that have extremely misleading names. The first one is called an enhancement tint. They simply work with the color of eyes that you already have. They're much like the first kinds of contact lenses that came onto the market several years ago. If you have very dark colored eyes, you will not find the results are looking for. If you're looking for a very subtle change and you have like colored eyes, these could be the kind that you're looking for. The nice thing about modern enhancement tint lenses is that you are able to avoid hard contact lenses altogether. You are also able to wear them several times as opposed to disposing of them after just a few uses. However, if you're looking for hazel eye contacts, you might want to use regular color contacts.

If you're looking for brown contacts, then be careful that you don't by something like Light-filtering contacts or visibility contacts. Visibility contacts are just for regular contacts. If you drop your contact in the sink, a visibility contact will help you to find them. They're nothing special. Light-filtering contacts are also for regular users. They're not colored contacts. They help people who play sports to see light differently. Think about hunters and how they wear yellow classes to help them aim and shoot better. There also used I people who play other kinds of sports. If you're looking for color contacts, you might be disappointed if you got a pair of these.
