A cross between a Siberian Husky and a Labrador Retriever is known as a Siberian Retriever. Both the breeds are extremely popular in households and make for great pets. They are great family dogs and are very friendly, affectionate and playful. Most of these dogs look like Huskies while some do resemble a Labrador Retriever.

They do not have any major health issues provided that they get enough exercise. They need to spend their energy and as long as they have enough exercise they will be very healthy. A Siberian Retriever can easily live for about 15 years without any health issues. They may sometimes have a problem with parasites and due to this you may need to check their ears very regularly.

How Do I Know If These Dogs Are Right for Me?

If you like going outdoors and playing with your dog the Siberian Retriever will be good for you. Since they need plenty of exercise they need to be taken out regularly. They are very affectionate and playful so if you have kids they would be good to have around.

They're very intelligent too and can be trained easily but on the other hand, they acquire a mind of their own and may not obey you sometimes. Hence they need to be trained thoroughly when they are small so that they do not disobey you when they're grown-up.
