It is very true that a wedding centerpiece says a lot about the wedding
and how much planning it went through, but the centerpiece on the table
does not always have to be overly glamorous and extravagant. Remember
this is your wedding day and no one deserves more amount of attention
than you and your spouse. Do-it-yourself, simple wedding centerpieces
will perfectly accent your wedding decor and theme.
There are a variety of great DIY ideas for making stunning yet cheap wedding centerpieces. Here's just a few simple centerpiece ideas:
Flowering plants in a pot - Thinking of a table centerpiece does not
always have to be expensive and artificial. With the hype of global
warming, going natural and green is often the best way to go. Why not
opt to having flowering plants in pots rather than arranged ones? You
will not only save money on the vases but may also use these
centerpieces as house decor after the wedding. Some of your guests may
even be interested in taking some home with them as a unique wedding
favor. All they'd have to do is nurture and enjoy them.
Flowering plants with tea lights - If you feel potted
flowering plants are too simple, you may opt to surround them with tea
lights as well. This will surely give a more dramatic effect, not only
to the flowers, but the entire table.
Floating flowers - Another simple wedding flower centerpiece might be using a
floating flower arrangement. You may use cymbidium orchids or roses.
Cut these flowers and leave only an inch of their stems and carefully
place them in a bowl of water. There are a lot of colors you may
choose from but deep reds are always a classic as they fit any color
motif and theme.
Color pebbles - Get some clear bowls and fill them halfway with color
pebbles. If you want it to look a little more romantic, get a votive
candle and put it in the middle. Be sure to have it lit before the
ceremony begins.
Simply petals - If you have a friend who has a rose garden, ask her to
bring you a bunch of roses in the morning of your wedding day. Have
the petals pulled out and have them scattered on the center of the
table. Yup, no flower arranging skill required!
Whatever you decide, remember that having simple wedding centerpieces
can often create a more dramatic effect than overly extravagant ones.
Simple is often best.
