If you have decided to host a children Halloween party and you are trying to think and look for some simple and fun Halloween food ideas for kids, then hopefully this article will be somewhat helpful to provide you with at least a good few ideas that you could possibly look into and find some recipes for.

Monster Cupcakes

The decorated Halloween cupcake is a must for the kids, they are great fun and they are bound to love them. You can make the cupcakes as simple or as complicated as you like (depending on how much of a challenge you are up to) due to the huge range of free recipes online.

There are some really great recipes out there for free if you know where to look for them, I would first head over to sites such as food network and enter a simple search term of Halloween and you will be presented with a few cupcake ideas there along with a 'How to video'. Be sure to also check out other places online that are offering you free recipes to carry out the monster Halloween cupcakes, even try searching on YouTube as there are a few 'how to' videos on there that you can give you a step by step process to making top quality Halloween cup cakes for kids.

Jello Brains and Hands

Jello is another great little desert that goes down particularly well with the kids, but even more so if they were eating an actual Brain that was made from jello. You can find molds on the internet from places such as Amazon that provide you with a whole range of molds ( In the shape of hands, in the shape of brains, skulls and bones, cauldrons, witches etc.) that also give you a simple step by step instruction guide so that you can construct your own Halloween jello that are in Halloween shapes.

Literal Finger Food

You could make actual fingers for finger food with a whole range of ingredients, such as carrots, bread, cheese bread fingers, sausages, pastry. Then to incorporate the finger nails you could have nuts or some kind of sauce or paste. Again, there are some really great free food websites online to find these sorts of recipes to make them and like I said above you can go as detailed or as simple as you like.

Eyeballs and Blood

Another great idea to try and introduce into the Halloween party meal are lots of and lots of eyeballs, as you can again like the 'fingers' above change and switch the ingredients around and just provide them with different names, for example a half chopped tomato with an olive slice in the middle could be a Goblin's eyeball, where as a slice of potato fixed with another slice of onion could be an Ogre's eyeball.

Along with the eyeballs and fingers you could provide sauces that could you specific names to such as Orc's blood and what not, if you are unsure about what names to give them, they is usually a scary name to go along with the recipe that you could just use.

Drink A Witch Brew

Here there is yet again a whole range of things that you can do to make the drinks look scary, but yet still use simple ingredients. For example you could simply get decorated scary Halloween mugs and cups give it a bit of red decoration with a few squirts strawberry sauce for the effect of blood.  Then add your actual drink either orange, lime or apple juice to the drink. Then add a few pieces of small fruit like blueberries or cherries into the drink leave it in the fridge for them to cool down and there you are.
