4. Fish: Fish is a great food that lowers cholesterol. One research study of 2 patients suffering from diabetes, studied at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology over a nine week period saw a large decline in bad cholesterol from taking fish oil. The reason for this is that fish oil is a great source for Omega 3 fatty acids.

5. Beans: Beans and legumes are another great source of foods that lower cholesterol because the main component is fiber. Fiber has many helpful properties for your health and body.

6. Yogurt: The chief reason that yogurt aids in reducing cholesterol is because it contains a live culture that is known as probiotics like Lactobacillus Acidophilus as well as Lactobacillus Reuteri that keeps the body from absorbing cholesterol. Do not eat yogurts high in fats and sugars.
