Skin Care Products - Expensive Does Not Necessarily Mean Quality

By Edited Nov 20, 2015 0 2

Good skin care products do not only make your skin look young but they also should keep your skin healthy. In order to do this these products need to contain natural ingredients in the right proportion. This way they can complement each other and work together.
The products should have a minimal quantity of fillers, colors and preservatives. The more natural the product is the better it will perform.

We hear a lot of talk about "Natural Products" and have the misconception that natural means not containing any chemicals.
Wikipedia states: A natural product is a chemical compound or substance produced by a living organism - found in nature that usually has a pharmacological or biological activity for use in pharmaceutical drug discovery and drug design.

As you see, everything natural is associated with chemistry. When we speak of natural products we talk about using the products as they are presented to us by nature without adding extra non essential ingredients . Of course the product needs to be processed and manufactured. That is fine as long as preservatives and fillers are not used or used very sparingly.

The skin is our largest organ and we need to take care of it. After all it is our main protection . We need to feed our skin essential nutrients. The natural ingredients in our skin care products will have to be of a high concentration in order to give the optimal results. These ingredients also need to be active and do something; not just sit on our skin doing nothing.

Good skin care products should be void of allergens, fragrances and chemical preservatives.

The most expensive products are not necessarily the best products. Some companies pay a lot of money to have their products endorsed by celebrities. And who pays for the endorsements? Yes, you, the customer.

Many products that are used on your skin contain Aloe Vera. The Aloe Barbadensis Miller plant is the best known Aloe Vera plant. It is not a cactus but a succulent, belonging to the Lily family.

Aloe Vera is known worldwide for its medicinal qualities. It's been used for centuries. Creams, lotions and gels meant to treat acne, eczema and psoriasis contain Aloe Vera.

But not all Aloe Vera products are created equal. Any Aloe Vera product needs a high concentration of the active molecules in order to see results. You cannot just purchase a product because it says Aloe Vera on the label. There are companies that care more for the bottom dollar than the satisfaction of the customers. They might use Aloe Vera in their products but so little of it that it has practically no value asfar as skin care is concerned.

And there are many companies that will sell you a great product that will make your skin feel good and look good.

You have to educate yourself about skin care products and know what to look for . You need products that will penetrate the skin, not just sit on top of it.

A good product will do the following for you:

  • take away fine lines and wrinkles
  • firm up the skin when it starts sagging
  • make your skin look and feel younger and healthier
Life is not over when the first wrinkle threatens to form. Find the right product and stay looking and feeling young.
