  1. You need hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and some dish washing soap. Mix these 3 substances in a container to create a powerful solution to remove skunk smell.
  2. Pour this solution into a spray bottle which can be carried around as a portable container.
  3. Spray the solution on the affected areas and then rub it gently using a piece of cloth. Be liberal in your usage of solution. Spray as much as you need.
  4. To remove skunk odor, you need to have a very well ventilated room. If possible, take the items outside your home and then apply the solution.

Skunk Dog Odor Removal


You don't have to make a new solution for removing skunk odor from dogs. The above-mentioned solution works well on dog's fur as well. The following simple steps will help in removing skunk odor from a dog.
  1. Apply the solution on the fur of the animal. See to it that the solution reaches the skin. Massage this solution for approximately ten minutes. Make sure the solution does not enter the eyes of the dog as it can be very painful.
  2. Wait for at least 10 minutes, and then you can start rinsing the dog fur. Towel the dog's fur to dry it.
  3. If the pet still has a bit of residue smell left on its fur, then you can consider using shampoos and conditioners.
