The Slow Cooker, or a Crock-Pot in the United States, is a cooking object. In this some sort of pan you can prepare meals. The nice thing about the slow cooker is that your meal will be slowly boiled (or fired). In this way, you can easily walk away from your cooking (even go to classes or something) and your food will actually be more delicious. In a slow cooker the flavors are better distributed and even the cheap meats can be made good to eat. This means you have now the opportunity to buy cheap meats and prepare them nicely. Cheap chicken for instance is one of the many examples. Chicken is normally inferior to, for instance, turkey and considered not that good of a meat. With a slow cooker you can slowly add flavor to the meat, resulting in a great meat anyway!

Ingredients for slow cooker pork chop dinner

  • 6 pork loin chops. These should be 3 to 4 inches thick.
  • 1 table spoon oil.
  • 1 large onion. The onion should be sliced.
  • 1 medium green pepper. Chop it up!
  • 1 can mushroom stem and pieces. This is around 4 oz and they are drained!
  • 1 can tomator sauce. Around 8 oz.
  • 1 table spoon brown suger.
  • 2 tea spoons Worcestershire sauce.
  • 1.5 tea spoon cider vinegar.
  • 0.5 tea spoon of salt.
  • Hot Cooked Rice. This one is optional, to finish your meal!

Preparation for slow cooker pork chop dinner

  1. Brown the pork chops in oil in a skillet. Drain it afterwards.
  2. Place the chops in a slow cooker.
  3. Add the onion, the green pepper and the mushrooms.
  4. Combine the tomato sauce, brown sugar, worcestershire sauce, vinegar and sauce in a bowl.
  5. Poor the mixture over the meat and vegetables.
  6. Cover it up and cook it LOW for 4-5 hours.
  7. Serve with rice. Optional again.
