Slow Cooker Wings

There are a lot of meats that can be prepared delicious with a slow cooker. One of these meats is wings! I am talking about chicken wings over here. Slow Cooker Wings are just as good as expensive real wings. With a slow cooker the wings will be fried for a long time (up to 5 hours) and with this the flavors will be distributed equally and the meat cannot burn anymore. This is because a Crock-Pot is that slow when you are making slow cooked wings.

In here we will share a couple of slow cooker wings recipes. If you had enough of all the chicken you can also try the slow cooker recipes for pork chops! Another inexpensive meat made delicious with a slow cooker.

Slow Cooker Wings

Slow Cooker Chicken Wings in BBQ Sauce

Ingredients for slow cooker chicken wings in BBQ sauce:

  • 3 pounds chicken wings - about 16 wings.
  • Salt and pepper - to taste
  • 1/4 cups of barbecue sauce. You can use whatever taste you want.
  • 2 tea spoons prepared mustard, or spicy if you are into that.
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • Hot pepper sauce. This is optional and to taste!

How to Prepare Slow Cooker Chicken Wings in BBQ Sauce:

  1. Rinse chicken and pat dry.
  2. Cut off and discard the wing tips.
  3. Cut each wing at joint to make two sections.
  4. Place the wing parts on broiler pan.
  5. Broil 4 to 6 inches rom heat 20 minutes, 10 minutes a side.
  6. transfer the chicken to the slow cooker.
  7. Combine the barbecue sauce, honey, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and the hot pepper sauce in a small bowl.
  8. Pour this over the chicken wings.
  9. Cover it and cook on LOW 4 to 5 hours.
  10. Serve it directly from the Slow Cooker.

Slow Cooker Wings in Teriyaki Sauce

Ingredients for slow cooker chicken wings in teriyaki sauce

  • 3 pounds of chicken wings. Around 16 wings.
  • 1 large onion - chopped
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 cup of low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup of dry sherry (or chicken broth)
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 2 cloves of garlic - minced

How to prepare slow cooker chicken wings in teriyaki sauce

  1. Rinse the chicken and pat dry.
  2. Cut off and discard the wing tips.
  3. Cut the wings at the joints to make two sections.
  4. Place the wing parts on broiler pan.
  5. Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat 20 minutes, 10 minutes a side.
  6. Transfer the chicken to a slow cooker
  7. Mix the onion, brown sugar, the soy sauce, cooking sherry, ginger and garlic in a bowl.
  8. Pour all of this over the chicken wings.
  9. Cover it and cook on LOW for 5-6 hours. 
  10. Stir the chicken wings once to make sure the wings are evenly coated with the sauce.
  11. Serve it directly from the slow cooker.

Slow Cooker Chicken Wings in Honey Sauce

Slow Cooker Chicken Wings in Honey Sauce ingredients:

  • 3 pounds of chicken wings - about 16 wings
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups of honey
  • 1 cup of low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup of ketchup
  • 1/4 cup of oil
  • Sesame seeds!

How to prepare slow cooker chicken wings in honey sauce

  1. Rinse chicken and pat dry.
  2. Cut off and discard the wing tips.
  3. Cut each wing at the join to make two sections.
  4. Place the wing parts on a broiler pan.
  5. Broil 4 to 5 inches from heat 20 minutes, 10 minutes a side.
  6. Transfer the chicken to the slow cooker.
  7. Combine honey, soy sauce, ketchup, oil and garlic in a bowl for the sauce.
  8. Pour it all over the chicken wings.
  9. Cover it up and cook on low 4 to 5 hours.
  10. Garnish it with sesame seeds.
  11. Serve it all from the Slow Cooker!
