The Slushy Magic Slush Cup is a product that has been advertised on television for the last several months. Imagine being able to make your own slushy drink any time you want one! No blender is needed, so even the youngest children can use it.

You can use any kind of liquid to make a slushy with the Slushy Magic Slush Cup. Use soda to make a Slurpee-like drink, lemonade to make a refreshing chilled drink, or coffee to make a frozen caffenated concoction for a fraction of the price you pay at Starbuck’s or Dunkin Donuts.

When you buy the Slushy Magic Slushy Cup, you will receive three following, which is enough to make one slushy at a time:

The large plastic cup and cap

Three “magic ice cubes” for mixing

Special spoon-straw for drinking and eating your slushy

Recipes for different drinks

The special ice cubes are reusable. They are made from a BPA free plastic and inside them there is salt water. After you are done making your slushy, rinse the magic cubes off in cold water and pop them back into the freezer so they are ready for your next slushy drink.

The premise of the Slushy Magic Slush Cup is simple…just pour the liquid into the Slushy cup with the three special ice cubes provided, and after two minutes of constant shaking, you have a cold slushy.

But does the Slushy Magic Slush Cup REALLY work?

I saw Slushy Magic being demonstrated in The Center of Progress Building at the Great New York State Fair this past August. My kids were mesmorized by the demonstrator shaking the red Hawaiian Punch back and forth. As he spoke, the red juice magically transformed into a red slushy!

We bought the two pack and had to wait a few more days until we got home to actually use it.

We tried Carnation Instant Breakfast drink, coffee, and lemonade. While Slushy Magic did work, it did take some work.

Here are some helpful hints on using the Slushy Magic Slush Cup:

First, make sure that your magic cubes are completely frozen. Put them in the coldest part of your freezer, away from the door that is constantly opened and closed.

You can make your slushy more quickly by making sure your cup is cold and liquid is also cold. You can leave the cup in the refrigerator overnight so it can chill.

You will get some much needed exercise by dancing and shaking to make it work. It does take several minutes, but the result is worth it!

If you are going to use soda, do not fill the cup to the line. It will overflow.

My twins still use the Slushy Magic Slush Cup almost every day. It was a good investment for us to buy two. Because it is priced right, Slushy Magic makes a great present to give as birthday gifts. I also like the fact that I can put the cup and cap in the dishwasher. Overall, the Slushy Magic Slush Cup is a fun item for your kids and grandkids to own.
