One person in a group does not have all that it takes to complete a complex task effectively. If the group works together, the group will achieve there goals much easier and faster then if they worked by themselves. If you plan to do a project that may be a bit complex (like starting a business, helping out your community) you should find others to help you out. Just make sure the others really want to help you and the group achieve your goals. Having a well organized small group can really be an unstoppable force.
You have to understand that small groups are the building blocks of any type of organized society. Small groups are the basic tools to forming a huge society or culture of people or things. Think about the different fields: education, business, entertainment, religion, science, government, etc. all of them are some part of a small group.

On average, there are over 18 million group meetings that occur every day in America. In modern society, small group communication is very relevant. Which is why it's very important to understand how to work in a small group. Many businesses and companies believe it to be extremely important to know how to work in a small group.
