Smithfield Fully Cooked Spiral Hams are Big Time and Money Savers, too!
You save time because the cooking has been done for you. You only need to reheat, and dinner is ready for the table. In addition to dinner tonight, think about all the other meals you can get from this awesome piece of meat. Think sandwiches, casseroles, salads, soups, etc. - all these dishes from cooking just one piece of meat. What a time saver!
Save money? Yes! Typically, when you purchase a large piece of meat you pay less per pound. So, any leftover meals you prepare are less costly, too. I just bought one for my Easter dinner, and I purchased it from my BJ’s Club for $1.89 per pound. At the time, they were offering a rebate on hams at check out. The rebate was $10 off if I purchased four products from a selection of many different bulk items. This worked perfectly for me, since the products being offered were items that I would be purchasing anyway. I purchased one package of Del Monte corn, one package of Le Sueur peas, and two packages of Green Giant asparagus. These items went into my pantry for future use, and I saved $10 off the cost of the meat, which had originally cost $20.45. My final cost for one of these great spiral sliced hams - $10.45.Credit: Southerngirl09
Honey Glaze Spiral Hams
As I write this article, I have one of these yummy and delightfully smelling hams in the oven. Since they are fully cooked, all you need to do is place it in a large roasting pan, and heat before serving. These spiral cut hams make serving easy, too, since they are already sliced. Simply follow the instructions, on the wrapper, for heating. My directions called for it to be heated in a 325-degree oven for 10-12 minutes per pound. Plus, the ham I purchased included a package of glaze. Now, how easy is that?Credit: Southerngirl09
Brown Sugar Glaze Spiral Hams
My family loves the taste of the brown sugar glaze spiral hams. Of the two Smithfield spiral hams listed here, this is our favorite. These are harder to find for some reason. So, when I can’t find it, I purchase one of the honey glaze spiral hams.
Even thoCredit: Southerngirl09ugh I said the brown sugar glaze ham was my family’s favorite, my husband said, last night at dinner, the honey glaze one, which I just served, was the best ham we have had in a long time. So, I guess it is a toss up. In other words, you won’t go wrong if you buy and serve either of these spiral hams.
